Giving

We are a charitable organisation, and rely on the gifts of individuals to support the ministry of our church. Nearly all of our annual income is given by individual people ...... like you!

We believe that throughout scripture, God has called his people to be generous and He invites his church to take up his mission wholeheartedly. The Bible teaches, ‘Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.  And God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance so that by always having enough of everything, you may share abundantly in every good work.’  2 Corinthians 9:6-8

If you would like to make a gift to the ministry of our church, then you can do this in one of the following ways:

Online through Stewardship using a credit or debit card

Online through your Bank or Building Society

If you use online banking you can donate to the Good Shepherd with a one-off payment, or set up your own standing order. Please remember to add your name in the reference section. Please email the Treasurer for our bank details.

Envelope Scheme

We operate an envelope scheme for people who would like to give in cash/by cheque on a regular basis. If you would like to use this method, please speak with our Treasurer.

Payroll giving

Providing your employer is signed up to the payroll giving scheme, this offers you a highly convenient, tax-efficient way to support the Good Shepherd.

One-off Gift

If you would like to make a one-off gift, please put your cash or cheque donation in an envelope and place it in the gift box at the back of church.  Alternatively, you can post your gift to the church office, marked for the attention of the Treasurer.

Legacy

If you would like to leave a gift to the Good Shepherd in your Will, please contact the church Treasurer who will send further details to you.

Can you help us to maximise your gift?

If you are a UK taxpayer, then it is likely that we will be able to recover an extra 25p from every £1 that you give, at no extra cost to yourself. To do this we must hold a valid Gift Aid Declaration. If we do not already hold a current Gift Aid Declaration, please download a copy here and return it with your gift.

Please contact the church office for more details or see our Treasurer at church.
